Happy Birthday Colin!

We celebrated Colin's first birthday while in Utah. My how the time does fly! It has been a wonderful year too!

At 12 months of age, Colin weighs in at 22 pounce, 8 ounces and measures 31 inches tall.

A few things we love about Colin:

1) LOVES to CUDDLE!

2) Always smiling.

3) Curious. (He flips toy cars over to see how the wheels spin. Or wants to be UP so he can see what is going on.)

4) Adores his big brother. (And likes Lexie more and more as he gets older and can hold his own with her.)

5) Knows dad=fun.

6) Loves to eat. (but can O.D. on cheerios.)

7) Takes great naps.

8) Sucks his thumb only when in mom's arms or sleeping.

9) His red hair.

10) Hasn't stuck anything up his nose, eaten sand, jumped off the couch, swished his toothbrush in the toilet, ran into the street, thrown temper-tantrums, or thrown up in his carseat. Wait, that happens in the NEXT 12 months!

In the first year of his life, Colin has made 3 trips to Utah. Yes, that's right, 108 hours in the car! What a trooper!

We count ourselves truly blessed to have this sweet boy in our lives.

Colin and great grandma Lorraine have their birthdays one day apart. Here they are blowing out ONE candle on a carrot cake. (I bet that made grandma happy!)

Aunt Andi and Uncle Nathan gave Colin a board book for his birthday. They've been giving us books since Tanner was a baby and I told them they are not allowed to stop that tradition!

Aunt Erica gave Colin one of her cute toddler blocks. Cloin loved playing with it in the car on the drive home! Erica has just started her own biz with lots of cute stuff. Here's the link: Bugaroo Baby.

The next day we opened presents from Grandma Ellingson. She got Colin this cute birthday card, puppet and book.

Celebrating birthdays with family is such a special thing to me! I think the kids love it too!
