Porter's Chair

Here is my sweet Porter!  He's 9 months and tiny-- weighing in at about 16lbs. 

Porter is beginning to sit up, though needs some help and doesn’t stay up for long. He’s been scooting across the floor for about 2 weeks now and is an expert roller. He is sleeping through the night, but seems to like to wake up around 5:30am.  Dad has been in St. Louis the whole month of August, so it has been difficult to break him of this habit, but he's home now, so we'll have him sleeping until 6:30 or 7am before we know it.

Porter is such a delightful baby!  He has a very soft cry and rarely cries at all. Really the only time he cries at all is when he’s left alone and gets tired or hungry. His favorite place to be is snuggling my hip, for he loves to come along for a ride. He's so light that this has been fun for mom too.  

Porter is VERY busy and loves to interact with anything he can gets his hands on. Recently, he’s been stiffening his legs so we will stand him up.  All the better to see up high!

One of my favorite features about Porter is his fair skin and blue eyes. People love to look at him and coo at him.  They all comment on his fair skin. 

When you get Porter smiling, he does this silly, scrunched nose, head back thing. It is quite funny to watch.  I tried to get it on camera, but it only lasts a split second and he moves so quickly with it all, that it was difficult to get. Here's my best shot!
