Bunny Hutch

We got a surprise package in the mail this week from Grandma Ellingson! It was the makings for a gingerbread Bunny Hutch! It arrived on Thursday evening and we decided that we would put it together on Saturday after we cleaned the house for Sunday. I think the kids asked me every TWO minutes between then if the time had come to decorate. For those of you who know Derek, he took over the decorating "responsibilities" before we could get the hutch out of the box! Which didn't leave much for me to do except sneak away to clean the bathrooms. I came back to find a fantastic finished product and three very happy campers!

Grandma told us cousin Becca was the inspiration to the package. She called grandma and asked her when she was going to send a special package. Grandma realized it was important to listen to these little ones, so she got "hopping" and sent both families this fun family activity. So, when we called to thank Grandma for the package, Lexie said, "when are you gong to come see us?" This busy Grandma who is going to school and doing an internship said packages were all she could do right now. It must be a tough job being a grandma!
